製品概要

EtherGazer1000 is a network tap equipped with 4 ports of 10/100/1000BASE-TX. Because we have joined in this development since designing stage, this is optimized on PacketBlackHole. In the case of troubles of software (OnePointWall) as well as physical troubles such as power source and imperfect function on network ports, EtherGazer1000 can make troubles such as suspended the network avoided in order to detect the troubles and secure detours of traffics. You can manage the network with the smallest modification and the low cost.

Setting
  Because only setting EtherGazer1000 on the existing network, you can hold down the modification of the existing network.

  when detecting unusual traffics of OnePointWall passing through Monitor-1 and Monitor-2, EtherGazer1000 automatically makes traffic between Port-1 and Port-2 shorter, and secure another route. (While switching that, those traffic between LAN and WAN temporally stops).

Product function

  Through: EtherGazer has the function to make the other link down when link partner the link down but other ports link up.
◆ Controlling between ports
  This product reads the connected speed and traffic method with the link partners regardless of connective mode, and automatically adjusts to the lower port.
◆ Saving connect setting
  If EtherGazer is turned off the power, the setting can be saved.

Example

1. The use for the bypass function with OnePointWall(Active on firewall-Tapmode)

OnePointWall, LAN and WAN are connected through EtherGazer1000. During the normal operating of OnePointWall [Figure.1], traffic between LAN-WAN is running on the route through OnePointWall.

When OnePointWall stops running on the bridge operation normally in any reasons, EtherGazer makes traffics between Port 1 and Port 2 shorter and secure the traffic route detouring OnePointWall [Figure 2]. EtherGazer can respond not only physical Network trouble but also the software problem for example OnePointWall.


2. The use for recording with PacketBlackhole(Active on Network-Tap Mode)

EtherGazer is set on the inline between LAN and WAN connecting Monitor-1 port to capture port of PacketBlackHole [Figure 3]. Traffics of both ways between LAN and WAN are mirrored on Monitor-1 port and PacketBlackHole captures those traffics.
